The Leadership Skills Inventory is a self-assessment booklet. It is a resource to help you assess your leadership skills based on five areas:

  • Self Management skills for self-control and development
  • Interpersonal Communication skills for building positive relationships
  • Coaching, Counseling, and Problem-Management skills to maximize the performance and potential of others
  • Consulting skills for developing teams and organizations
  • Versatility and Organizational Development skills to optimize organization effectiveness 

The inventory asks you to rate yourself in the above areas by assigning a number value to a series of questions in each category. It then helps you identify key areas you would like to develop or improve in each of the five areas.

To obtain a copy of the Leadership Skills Inventory send a request by email to ccjdtraining@jibc.ca. If you want credit for this inventory, you’ll need to complete a Learning Plan.
